A decade ago, Jim Robinson, the Jim behind “Island Jim Cigars”, in collaboration with Oscar Valladares released the Leaf by Oscar cigar. It was supposed to be a house blend for Jim’s cigar shop. However, it became such a hit, that the Leaf by Oscar was eventually made available to everyone. The Leaf by Oscar 10th Anniversary Criollo commemorates this highly popular cigar’s first milestone anniversary. The cigar features a savory Criollo maduro wrapper covering a binder and filler made of top-shelf Honduran tobacco. Once rolled, each cigar is encased by an actual tobacco leaf instead of cellophane. While the cigar’s “leafy” packaging made an eye-catching sensation when it was first released, its great construction, delicious flavors, and wallet-pleasing price made it an enduring hit. The cigars are handmade in Honduras at Oscar Valladares’ factory.
